Lantern Walk is just around the corner and we STILL need JARS!
For those of you who are new to the ChildRoots community, Lantern Walk is our annual fall event. Families gather at Fern Hill park and take a magical walk down a candle lit path through the woods. Along the way they are greeted by teachers barring treasures.
Each family carries a home made lantern as they walk down the path – this is why we need the jars! The preschool classrooms decorate the jars and affix a handle to them. Then they are distributed at the lantern walk to help you find your way.
This is a perfect opportunity to rid your garage, basement, kitchen cabinet of all those unwanted glass jars you keep meaning to recycle.
Do it now: get up from your computer, grab that brown paper bag and put it in the trunk of your car.
