ChildRoots schools are progressive, play-based, and rooted in the philosophies of Reggio, RIE and constructivism. Our schools are beautiful, empowering places to learn and grow, and we're looking for Infant Teachers to join our Northwest Center teams this Fall. Training begins in late August, so we're excited to fill these positions ASAP!

As an Infant Teacher, you'll provide loving, committed primary care for up to 4 children. You'll possess experience caring for young children, preferably in a licensed child care facility or as a nanny, babysitter or parent. Completion of college coursework related to early childhood education is a wonderful asset but is not required.

We offer standard, transparent starting wages to all new employees, so in this position, you'll start at $12.75/hour and be eligible for up to $0.50/hour merit raises after 90 days and annually. In September 2017, you'll also receive our scheduled company-wide pay increase - at least $0.50/hour!

We also offer specialized training in the ChildRoots Way, affordable insurance coverage, continuing education, and a supportive work environment.

To work with us, you must be enrolled in Oregon's Central Background Registry.

Also, within your first 30 days of employment, you'll need to have:
•    Food Handler's Card
•    CPR/First Aid
•    Completion of a Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect course.
•    Completion of an Introduction to Child Care Health & Safety course

Complete our online application, where you'll share your résumé and contact information for 3 personal references

If you're passionate about children and education, we're hoping to hear from you!
