We're looking for a skilled Cook to join our Fremont Center team!
All food served at ChildRoots is organic, vegetarian and nut-free. We offer lunch and two snacks daily, served family-style under our signature "Take 5" plan, which incorporates a grain, bean, fresh fruit, vegetable, and dairy.
Produce is served fresh, either roasted or steamed. Beans and grains have minimal seasoning. By serving a variety of nutritious, delicious foods in their natural state; children are able to acquire a taste for whole, unprocessed foods.
Our new cook will be:
- Detail- and procedure-oriented
- Experienced in a high-volume restaurant, school or other batch-cooking environment
- Committed to preparing wholesome foods for multiple locations with precision and efficiency under pressure
- Comfortable doing dirty, unglamorous work like washing dishes, cleaning, and more cleaning
To work with us, you must be enrolled in Oregon's Central Background Registry.
HOURS & COMPENSATION
7 AM – 4:30 PM, M-F
This full-time position starts at $14.25/hour with potential for 90-day and annual merit-based raises. It is eligible to enroll in our company medical and dental insurance plans.
