Position Overview
Break Support work 30-40 hours per week, offering Teachers breaks and lunches. This role is perfect for someone who's adaptable, adventurous, and excited to be a valued part of several stable classroom groups.
Qualifications & Requirements
To be considered for a role at ChildRoots, applicants are enrolled in Oregon's Central Background Registry with a minimum Step 4 for Assistant Teachers and Step 7 for Lead Teachers.
Oregon’s Safety Set Trainings and other certifications are also REQUIRED to be considered for a role at ChildRoots:
Compensation & Benefits
All Break Support Teachers start at:
$19.10/hour for the role of Break Support at our non-PFA site (ChildRoots NW - PFA site in the 2026-27 school year)
$22.27/hour for the role of Break Support at our PFA sites (ChildRoots SE and Fremont)
Please note: the roles of Assistant and Lead Teachers do not begin until August 25th, 2025 (08/25/2025). Current wage structure is based on PFA wages.
