Our centers are welcoming, ever-evolving environments, and we're looking for part-time and full-time Substitutes to join our team. Would you like to join us?
A Part-Time Substitute works when they're available and when we need help covering for staff members who are sick or taking time off - a perfect role for someone looking for rewarding work but also plenty of time for other pursuits.
A Full-time Substitute works a guaranteed number of hours per week, filling in for ill or vacationing coworkers. This role is perfect for someone who's adaptable, adventurous, and interested in working on a regular basis and with a variety of ages.
Great candidates for these roles have worked in a formal child care environment before and/or have taken college-level courses related to early childhood education.
To work with us - or any licensed Oregon child care center - you must be enrolled in Oregon's Central Background Registry. Also, within your first 30 days of employment, you'll need to have or obtain an Oregon Food Handler's Card and Pediatric CPR/First Aid certification. You'll also need to complete Oregon's Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect course, an Introduction to Child Care Health & Safety, and a Sleep Safety for Oregon’s Infants course.
This role currently starts at $14.25/hour. We offer opportunities for annual performance reviews and merit-based raises (up to $0.50/hour per review), bonuses, and paid time off, including holidays throughout the year and a Winter Break. We also offer health, vision, dental & life insurance coverage and a 401(k) with a generous company match.
